The International Tejo Association is a non-profit organization with the aim to develop the tejo as a sport around the world.
The tejo is a target sport which can be played by men and women of all ages. It is played between two opposing teams, with one, two or three participants in each team, using a set of coloured tejos which are played within a sand field. The aim is to score a certain number of points and the team that scores them first, wins.
Past, Present and Future
Thank to the kindness of the game and the passion of a multitude of people who have worked in its development, in the last decades the tejo stopped being just a single summer beach game to start being played regularly throughout the year in many different regions.
Nowadays, the AIT is working in an integral project which comprises the following goals:
Increase the number of people who regularly play tejo.
Get income to reinvest in the sport.
Give more benefits to all the people linked with the tejo.
Approach the Game to the World.
The members can make suggestions, present projects and take part in the AIT´s institutional life.
They will have the chance to participate in competitive and promotional events organized by the AIT.
All the members participating in official competitions will be part of the international ranking and may qualify for exclusive events.
